January 2020: Christmas concert success
Updated: Mar 13, 2020

We'd like to say a big thanks to everyone who came to support the Apple Tree Hill Studio Christmas Concert at The Phoenix, Ridgeway.
Once again, student's families and patrons of the pub throughly enjoyed the Christmas carols sung by the students before their solos took place. The carol sheets were handed out and everyone joined in.
For our student solos we had a mixture of vocalists, guitarists, bass guitarists and even a vocal student who brought his piano to give us something a bit different! One thing was clear; everyone had worked so hard to perform on the night. Some had even battled the flu and recovered just enough to make their performance.
School owner and tutor Charlie said: "I couldn't be more proud. We've had a range of performances in ages ranging from 8 years old up to 65, which just goes to show that everyone is capable. We've also had 2 students celebrating exam success with a A+ GSCE Music Performance grade and another with an LCM Popular Music Vocals Grade 1 Merit, followed by another Grade 2 Distinction. Every single student tonight has progressed so far this year, many of whom had never performed in public until tonight."
The music school's concert was a free entry event but money was raised by a raffle for Weston Park Cancer Charity, which came to a total of £153. Thank you to all who attended and supported our students and school.
